As we near the end of what has been the best ski season we have ever enjoyed, I thought I better send you and you staff a quick email to thank you all for the incredible service and support we got. The Daleboots have transformed our skiing, Abbie is all smiles and hasn't once bitched about her feet hurting!

Donna and me have worn our Daleboots all day every day, not less than 7 hours a day, unheard of for us in our old boots. My technique has really come on now and it's mostly thanks to you and your skills.& patience.

We had our week in La Plagne. We skied well over 150 miles, even cracking 62 mph on one red run!

Superb Service

I recently purchased a pair of Meindl boots and Instaprint insoles from James @ outdoor traders. He took so much care and attention to get the fitting right, the service is just superb. The end result a pair of boots and insoles that enable me to walk 15 to 20 miles a day, which i have not been able to do for the past 20 years. Thanks to James the Offa's Dyke path was a breeze. You Won't Be Disappointed!

I have recently had my Technica Diablo Magma ski boots fitted by James Choularton at Outdoor Traders. James is one of a small handfull of people in the UK offering a unique service when it comes to ski boot fitting. In the 24 years that I have been skiing this was the most thorough, detailed and interesting experience, and yes my boots feel great!! The years of experience and knowledge of his products mean James can customize boots to all levels of skier and cater to their individual needs.

Ski Boots Shaped To Perfection

In over 30 years of skiing I have never been comfortable and often in great pain with boots. It was my great luck to hobble into the newly set up and friendly Outdoor Traders in Abingdons High Street. For, recently I had been told by a consultant that I had severe collapsed arches and for a considerable fee,and less than fifteen minutes of his time, he made up a set of othotics.

James Choularton was the expert in every respect. Very knowledgeable in the construction and damage of the body's frame. He went to immense lengths to measure up my feet, he wrote copious notes of all the minute deflections in my feet and frequently told me how poor this or that movement was. Wow, I knew he was right! Anyway at the end of two friendly, chatty sessions with tea or a beer he produced the goods. A pair of Dale ski boots.

A week later I was on the slopes, comfortable and pain free. A real velvet feel. A great boot. Thank you, James. If it hadn't worked I was going to chuck skiing for ever but now there's miles left in me and as for the boots.......years. Dale boots allow a considerable amount of corrections to be made to allow for odd feet like mine and the extra expense is more than worth it. James also made up the othotics that I needed to keep my feet supported.

His actions saved my hobby.

Dale Ski Boots

I recently had a new pair of Dale Ski Boots supplied and fitted by James Choularton at Outdoor Traders in Abingdon.

As a McTimoney Chiropractor I am very aware of the stresses and forces placed on the lower limbs during skiing and the need to have boots specifically fitted to your feet. After a week’s skiing in my previous boots I always had a degree of knee strain and was aware that I could turn well in one direction but less so in the other. I never felt in complete control of the ski’s and my feet hurt.

With the Dale boots, even after skiing in heavy conditions my knees were absolutely fine with much more control over the ski’s and my technique improved enormously. The boots were expertly fitted and I had no pain or discomfort from them even after the first weeks use. I would really recommend Dale Boots and believe that the additional cost is money well spent and would very much recommend James as a boot fitter for his knowledge, enthusiasm and ability to explain things clearly
